CCW's are being issued
We all know the large departments like LASO, SBSO, OCSO, SFPD and a few others are virtually no issue unless you have a political in but many departments throughout California are issuing.
We are the ONLY site devoted to assisting qualified applicants obtain CCW's throughout California. Other sites are obsessed with regime change or arming everyone in their county. That is not my area of interest. Some will be granted due to a properly crafted application while others will have to litigate. If you challenge a 'no issue' or 'dual issue' department you had better have the stomach for a lawsuit. If that is not your desire just continue what you are currently doing and hope you are not placed in a situation where your life or that of your family is placed in danger.
I just received an e-mail from a person we assisted in a 'difficult' department in northern California. He thought for sure he would be denied. We reviewed his GC statement and helped him focus it. We do not write GC, we just edit them. Many applicants have poor or no writing skills, a lost art form in this country. In my profession I write Declarations, PRAR's and letters of demand on a regular basis.
That fact seemed to have some affect on his application. It is his belief that the formatted letters I had him send were recognized as Billy Jack letters. As many of you are aware, LEXICON, LLC is providing CCW Policies to many departments in California and the principal of that company, Greg Praet is aware that we like to put bad law enforcement officials feet in the fire. He has gone to the extent of warning his client departments to watch out for my applicants.
If they are not squeaky clean, departments are reluctant to allow me to come to town and do a PRAR review of their CCW files. The Santa Clara County Sheriff and her Command Staff are fully aware of what happens when I go for a gentle stroll through their files. So they are more inclined to issue to an applicant with reasonable GC and a well written, documented application.
Far too many people post all over the Internet that it is impossible to get a CCW in California. If you are wearing a tin foil hat, fear men in black and those pesky black NATO helicopters you will have trouble convincing a law enforcement department that you can be trusted with a CCW. If you are not of that stripe, you will want to contact us prior to applying. I can not un ring the bell, so do not shoot yourself in the foot and then expect us and our legal team to do a miracle.

Police Departments in Los Angeles County
Some police departments in Los Angeles County are in play once again. Can not identify them at this time but in time we shall post their names.
As I have posted before, many small cities in Los Angeles County actually issue to qualified applicants. We are interested in those that do not. The majority of the population lives in non county patrolled area or cities with municipal police departments. Application is not easy as they have not all been educated. When faced with a costly Superior Court or Federal Court lawsuit they become willing advocates for fair issue.
Our job is to nudge them in that direction. Talking to most Chiefs is a waste of time as you have no leverage. A Civil Rights lawsuit provides that leverage.
If you have a business or personal need for a CCW, a clean record, reside in a city with its own PD and are not afraid of confronting local government you may want to speak with us.

CCW being issued throughout California
Team Billy Jack has been busy all over the state. In the past 90 days we have assisted successful applicants in Kern, Ventura, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego. Some of these counties are thought to be impossible. Nothing is impossible with a properly drafted Good Cause statement.
I have applicants submit initial statements that run up to five pages. If you do not have them in the first paragraph it is not going to happen.
These people did not have to sue anyone. Only in counties like Santa Clara, where corruption is pervasive is it necessary to litigate. We do not charge to mentor you through the process. If your GC is not going to wash we will tell you so. You may still apply if you desire but you will know where you stand prior to doing so.

Santa Clara Counsel Staff not understand their function
Staff at County Counsel Office at Santa Clara County is very confused in both their role in defending the County and understanding the Public Records Act.
The office exists to advise County Government and defend against Civil matters.
Lets do the easy one first. The PRA, requires the entity to assist the public with its requests not interfere or nit pick at misspelled names or records not picked up during a prior visit. Records requested are to be produced without regard to sequence or questions by legal staff as to why the requestor now wants files previously discounted. Legal staff have no right to question why any document is requested. Their sole role in this regard is to insure that the request is complied with under the law.
Now the difficult part for legal staff. It is not their responsibility to interfere with requests under the PRA because they indicate possible violations of criminal statutes by county employees. If and when a concern about a criminal act by a county employee arises they are to advise the employee that they need to retain outside legal counsel as the county is not allowed under the law to advise or defend against criminal acts by its employees.
I can see where loyalty might cause the legal staff to exercise poor judgment in this regard but that is not an excuse. If County Counsel Staff is having a problem with providing documents I am requesting, they will have an even bigger concern when FBI Agents armed with Search Warrants show up seeking the same documents as well as others.
Having a law degree does not allow a person to act with conscious disregard for the law.
