Team Billy Jack Forum?
No we shall not be adding a forum. Our members have lives. We shall continue to list available CCW policies for departments that we have obtained or have received from supporters.
Criticizing TBJ because we do not share all of your views is most counterproductive. We have stated our objective many times. We exist to assist the serious applicant with the application and appeal process. If you are denied and want to litigate we will help with that as well.
We do not have all the answers but there are certain procedures and protocols that will work with all departments. To be successful you must be able to articulate your GC in writing and support it during your interview. We do not write GC, but we do review it and give you pointers.
'Avid shooter', 'camp in remote locations', carry large sums of cash' will only work in some counties. If you have a good reason, that subjects you to more danger than the average person, you will want to speak with us
prior to submitting your application.
If you want someone to ghost write your GC, there are other sites that will accommodate your needs. We will actually speak with you and put a voice behind our Intrenet persona.
A word to the wise. If you are in the process of applying for a CCW, do not identify the department or post your GC on any site. Strange as it may seem to some, law enforcement personnel can read. Yes, your posts are protected by the First Amendment but do not set yourself up for questions about your discretion.
Many people spend their time on the CCW sites because they do not have GC or they are afraid to apply. People come to us because they are serious about their need for a CCW.

Where is Team Billy Jack Active?
We are currently assisting multiple applicants in Los Angeles City. One is San Mateo County, two in Kern County, one in San Bernardino County, one in Lassen County and one in Riverside County.
Some will be issued, some will not, Some may decide that their denial was a travesty and decide to seek redress in the courts.
These people are trying. They are not sitting around complaining about the unfairness of the system. When I see the woosies that call themselves men I hang my head in shame.
What would the Sons Of Liberty have done if they had to call upon the likes of the people that consider themselves firearm advocates on the Internet? 'Who wants to attack the British supply lines?' 'Not me, I am afraid the raid might not succeed and my participation would anger the Lord Mayor and the British Generals.'
What a bunch of gutless wonders!

Firearm Websites
It is unfortunate that some of the firearm sites allow the Tin Foil hat wearing fanatics to control the discussion and want to kill the messenger when information they do not want to hear is posted.
As long as they retain the position that CCW is a 2nd Amendment Right and their rights are being infringed upon they will neither take much ground nor hold any. All extremes are rejected by the public. They would rather rally behind a poorly drafted and pursued lawsuit than meet with the new San Francisco Chief to discuss his policy.
It has been my long standing policy to exhaust all remedies prior to encouraging the filing of a lawsuit. There is a golden opportunity to change the San Francisco policy that no one seems bright enough to pursue.
I shall watch the recent Gorski Federal suit go its inevitable way.

The time is right in San Francisco
The timing is right to reform SFPD & SFSO. A person with GC or backed by a legitimate group or organization with their legal counsel could approach both Sheriff Hennessey and Chief Gascon and do a Billy Jack.
Hennessey does not have a written policy so he is clearly in violation of Salute. He has also made public statements to the media that he only issues to retired federal law enforcement and those similarly situated.
Option One
Gascon is new and CCW is probably not at the top of his administrative priorities. He was with LAPD in a Command Staff capacity so he is aware of the Stipulated Settlement. He can be approached and diplomatically offered the opportunity to adopt a policy similar to LAPD.
No threats, just a friendly constructive meeting. Wait 30 days and if there is no change, a qualified applicant applies to both departments. If denied, sue them both. Hennessey in Superior Court, and Gascon in Federal Court.
Option Two
Do a news piece to embarrass them. Gee, I wonder which would be more effective. Someone residing in SF who does not wear a foil hat and has the backing of an organization could pull off option one.

Billy Jack make error in judgment
I went on one of the firearm sites I used to post on and I suddenly realized I had made a mistake. My objective is to deal with CCW issuance by assisting qualified applicants with their applications and appeals. If they are denied and have the desire and resources to mount a legal challenge I do my best to match them with an attorney that can champion their case in Superior or Federal court.
There are many out there that do not have Good Cause and will never have it. Their solution is to change the law through legislation or court action to Shall Issue. I have stated many times that I do not see Shall Issue ever coming out of the California legislature. But, it is the only hope many people have of ever getting a CCW. They go about collecting all the non resident permits they can from states that issue them. That is harmless and makes them feel better. They can then go to Las Vegas and complain because the casinos do not allow CCW on their premises.
Wow, that is terrible. Gambling, alcohol, why not allow people to carry concealed in this environment? That sort of reasoning is exactly why California Chiefs and Sheriffs will always be opposed to Shall Issue. There are some scary people out there that think their lives will be so much better once they have a CCW.
Others feel that quickie news stories about unfair CCW issue will galvanize the public to grab their pitch forks and storm the Legislature demanding Shall Issue. That, my friends is delusional thinking. The public does not care about CCW abuse as it does not affect them in any meaningful way. So you might ask, what is the harm in doing news stories about the abuses? Well for one thing it puts the bad departments on notice that documents they have been creating are public records. After the media points out what the departments are doing they will, in the future create files and procedures that hide what they are actually doing. This makes it more difficult for investigators and attorneys to make a case for abuse using the Public Records Act after the departments alter how they keep their records.
This makes lawsuits against these departments more difficult and expensive. The 'Andy Hardy' mentality that motivates some to want to get all that favoritism and misconduct in the public arena would be laughable if the repercussions were not so counterproductive.
